Delete your Cinecase account data

Cinecase stores your collection on your device, not on our servers. The only data Cinecase keeps under your Google account is created if you sign in with Google inside the app:

Shared scan database activity - barcode lookup logs, shared barcode corrections (submissions), and votes, stored against an opaque Google user id (never your email).
A backup file in your own Google Drive - only if you enabled Cloud Sync (Pro). This file lives in your Drive, not on our servers.

Delete from inside the app (fastest)

Open Cinecase and go to Settings.
Under Privacy, tap Delete Cinecase account & cloud data.
Confirm. The app deletes your shared scan-database activity, removes your attribution from shared records, deletes the Cinecase backup file from your Google Drive (if Cloud Sync was used), and signs you out.

The deletion takes effect immediately. Your collection on your device is not deleted by this action - uninstall the app to remove on-device data.

Delete by email (if you no longer have the app)

Email canadiliansoft@gmail.com with the subject "Cinecase account deletion", sent from the Google account you used with Cinecase (so we can verify the request). We will delete the same server-side data within 30 days and confirm by reply. A backup file in your own Google Drive is under your control - you can delete movie-shelf-collection.json from your Drive at any time.

What is deleted, and what is kept

Deleted or anonymized:

Your barcode lookup logs, shared corrections, and votes (deleted).
Your attribution on shared barcode record history (anonymized - the record keeps no link to you).
The Cinecase backup file in your Google Drive (deleted via the in-app path; under your own control otherwise).

Kept:

Shared barcode records themselves (barcode-to-movie facts contributed by the community). After deletion these carry no connection to you.
Data on your own device, which is yours: delete items in the app or uninstall it.
